When something happens to you it opens your eyes. Always think about the other person before you act instead of criticizing. Example: someone is crying because of a death in the family. For someone who has never experienced the feeling it might not seem like a big deal. But it is just be respectful.
Today i experienced fire. The actual panic and commotion of fire. Sitting next to a hero. Wondering what’s become of me. Its great but on the inside its an empty horrible feeling. Look at this picture for a minute:
(Taken from history texbook- The Americans Chapter 30 The Vietnam War Years pg 940 or something this Buddhist monk publicly burned himself in protest of the Dieme regime you got to read it i don’t want to explain)

Its something I thought about before the fire happened I saved it as a reminder. I use it to decipher how I feel. Think How does it feel? Would I be able to withstand it? Could I sit there and be strong like him? What was he thinking? How does it feel?

* I look at it today and I don’t feel the same.

On June 11th, 1963, Thích Quảng Đức, a Vietnamese Buddhist monk, sat down in the middle of a busy intersection in Saigon, covered himself in gasoline, ignited a match and set himself on fire. Đức burned to death in a matter of minutes, and he was immortalized in a famous photograph taken by a reporter who was in Vietnam to photograph the war. All those who saw this spectacle were taken by the fact that Duc did not make a sound while burning to death. Đức was protesting President Ngô Đình Diệm’s administration for oppressing the Buddhist religion.

say something, anything at all. i would love to hear from you :) if not, have an awesome day anyway!
